OPELOUSAS RESIDENT ARRESTED ON WEAPON AND DRUG CHARGES

According to Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, “On May 15, 2024, working in conjunction with the Opelousas City Marshals Office, St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at 630 Lombard Street in Opelousas, Louisiana. The suspect, identified as Don Robertson, was detained outside the residence.”

During the course of the search, detectives located one rifle, two shotguns, 13.5 grams of fentanyl, 75 grams of marijuana, 1 gram of crystal methamphetamine and $581.00 in US currency.

On May 15, 2024, Don Robertson was transported to the St. Landry Parish Jail and charged with possession with intent to distribute schedule II CDS (fentanyl), possession with intent to distribute schedule I CDS (marijuana), possession of schedule II CDS (crystal methamphetamine), illegal possession of weapons in the presence of a CDS (3 counts), possession of drug paraphernalia, and transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses.
