On September 7, 2025, La Ronge RCMP received a report of a male with a firearm on Chief James Robert Drive. Officers responded immediately. Investigation determined an interaction occurred between two males and a female inside a residence. One of the males pointed a firearm at the female. The firearm was not discharged. As a result of investigation, 37-year-old John Sanderson from La Ronge has been charged with several firearms related offences. An arrest warrant has been issued for John Sanderson. La Ronge RCMP continue work to locate John Sanderson and ask members of the public to report sightings and information on his whereabouts. John Sanderson, who commonly goes by the name ‘Stinker’, is described as: 5’9”, 170 lbs., brown eyes, black hair. He has multiple tattoos on his face and neck, If you see John Sanderson, do not approach him.
